Brian Stanton — Founder of Psychetheatrics®, LLC

I have spent most of my life exploring what it means to be human

— through theatre, story, movement, breath, and the exploration of identity.

My journey began in the theatre at a young age and grew into a lifelong career as an actor, writer, and producer. Theatre was always more than performance to me. It was a place where people could explore truth, emotion, identity, archetype, and transformation. On stage, we are allowed to become many different versions of ourselves, and through that process, we often discover who we really are.

Over time, I became especially interested in identity and personal story, shaped in large part by my own experience as an adopted person and my search for biological family. That journey led me to write and perform my solo play BLANK and later create the film @ghostkingdom, both of which explore the emotional complexities of adoption, identity, and connection. Through that work, I began to see how powerful story, voice, and embodiment can be in helping us understand ourselves and our place in the world.

Eventually, I realized that theatre and healing were not separate worlds. The stage had always been a place of transformation, ritual, emotional release, and discovery. That realization led me into the worlds of somatic practices, breathwork, and psychedelic preparation and integration work.

Through my company Psychetheatrics, I bridge the worlds of theatre, somatic practice, breathwork, and psychedelic preparation and integration to help people explore their inner world through creativity, movement, voice, and archetypal play. This work is not about performing for others, but about discovering and expressing the many parts of ourselves — the stories we carry, the roles we play, the masks we wear, and the truths waiting to emerge.

I believe transformation is not about becoming someone new, but about becoming more fully yourself — remembering, discovering, and expressing who you already are.

Through play, the wisdom within emerges
